Join us for an intimate conversation with artist Hangama Amiri
Facilitated by curator Maryam Babaei | April 19 at 3:00PM
Medias Res Gallery warmly invites you to an engaging Artist Talk with renowned artist Hangama Amiri, facilitated by curator Maryam Babaei, on Friday, April 19 at 3:00PM.
This event is presented in conjunction with our current exhibition, Henna Night / Shabe Kheena II, a powerful continuation of Amiri’s exploration of diasporic identity through textile-based works. The conversation will offer personal insights into the artist’s practice, where she reflects on contemporary Afghan women's increasingly complicated relationship with the idea of home and explores the role of cultural rituals in forging a sense of community and building resilience.
We welcome our community to join us for this special afternoon.
This event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
