ISLANDERS

Solo exhibition by Parham Peyvandi at Medias Res gallery

November 18–29, 2026

Opening Reception November 18, 5–8PM

Islanders is a new body of work by Victoria-based artist Parham Peyvandi, inspired by the landscapes of Vancouver Island. The series develops through an ongoing and active process of interpreting place, bringing observation and memory into relation with personal experience and the cultural and environmental contexts of his encounters. These relationships inform the paintings’ visual language, while meaning continues to unfold through a shared process that extends beyond the artist’s own reading.
