About the Festival
Persian podcasts have become one of the most alive, most honest corners of the Persian-speaking world — a place where storytelling, curiosity and community meet. After the success of the first International Persian Podcast Festival in 2025, the festival returns to Vancouver for a second edition.
Over three days, September 18 to 20, 2026, four of the most distinctive voices in Persian podcasting come together for live shows, a panel conversation, screenings, and a gathering of podcasters and the people who listen to them. Two of the programs take place at Zameen Art House on Granville Island, and two at VIVA Alliance on Railway Street.

This year’s festival brings together four podcasters whose work has shaped how Persian speakers listen — across technology, science, the outdoors, and everyday life.

From Idea to Impact
Creating a Lasting Podcast — a conversation with all four podcasters about experience, storytelling, audience and staying power. Other podcasters are invited to introduce themselves, videos from across the community are screened, the “100 Persian Podcasts” book is presented, and the evening closes with a Q&A and a get-together of podcasters and fans.

Radio Joloun in BC
Stories & Experiences from Hiking and the Outdoors
British Columbia is an adventurer's paradise, but there's a long road between admiring photos of this untouched nature and actually setting foot on its mountains. Starting a safe, enjoyable adventure in BC takes more than just a backpack — it takes experience, awareness, and, of course, companions who know the way.
So we can travel this road with more confidence and pick up useful, practical know-how for our future trips, we're gathering for a special event for nature-lovers and hikers. In this program, Kimia Khosravi (producer and host of the Radio Joloun podcast) tells the story of a group hiking trip to Glacier National Park, and talks about the interesting differences between hiking in British Columbia and in Iran.
But that's not the whole story. To make this event a complete guide for travelers, Kimia is hosting several expert guests to talk through the most important concerns in nature exploration:
🔸 How do we smartly choose our destination? (navigation tips and tricks)
🔸 What animals might we cross paths with on the trail, and what's the right way to react to them?
🔸 And for hiking and mountaineering in this terrain, exactly what skills and gear do we need?
Whether you've been hiking for years or you're just about to take your first steps into BC's nature, this event is full of firsthand experience for you.
Kimia has invited several highly experienced guests from different fields to join this episode — this program will be both informative and exciting.

Zharfa Live Podcast
Zharfa comes to the stage at Zameen Art House for a live recording of one of Persian podcasting’s most distinctive shows.
In The Human Trace, Alireza Payandeh follows the marks people leave behind — from Earth and space to history and music — weaving science, storytelling and sound into a single narrative performed in front of a live audience.

Radio Jadi Live Podcast
Jadi Mirmirani brings Radio Jadi (formerly Radio Geek) — one of the longest-running and best-loved Persian technology podcasts — to Zameen Art House for a live show.
The evening’s question is a simple one with complicated answers: do computers still obey us? Expect a conversation about technology, autonomy, algorithms and the shifting balance of control between people and the machines they built, told with the humour and clarity Radio Jadi’s listeners know well.
