Homa Bazrafshan
Untitled, 2022
From the series Path of the Silent (2021-2022)
In Homa Bazrashan’s large-scale, immersive canvases, elements of folklore from across the world converge to create complex narratives that are both fantastical and familiar. The artist seeks to evoke the intrigue and enveloping warmth of an age-old fairy tale that changes slightly with every retelling and carries the improvised contributions of generations of storytellers. Bazrafshan’s work is a celebration of stories as a shared creative origin and a bridge between cultures.
